Terms of Use

Please Note: Before Buying

Some of the services and information provided by AAT and the AXON Intelligent Vehicle Interface are not supported by all vehicles. Some vehicles may not support such information such as fuel level, odometer, Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

AAT does not provide the service of door-lock and door unlock, disable vehicle in case of theft; for ALL vehicle types. However, AAT is capable of providing this service to some vehicles.

If the user wishes to implement these functions then they are kindly asked to contact AAT so that security features are established before these commands are sent back to the vehicle.

AAT claims that all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) from any Vehicle that monitors them on their own vehicle BUS can also be displayed the user’s private AAT web-site. AAT does not advise that vehicle users rely solely on the AXON Intelligent Vehicle Interface unit to service their vehicle and AAT does not take any responsibility for any vehicle damage that may occur due to failure to display DTC’s, or failure to display any other information, or failure to send any alerts.

AAT also claims that a GPS position and web services based on GPS position through the AAT monitoring web-site will be available. A customer’s location may be an important factor as to how well the AXON unit works. A good rule to adhere to is that if your cell phone works in a certain area then the AXON will probably work well in that area as well.

The AXON Intelligent Vehicle Interface unit has the potential to store GPS information if the driver is going through a “dead reception” zone or an area with little or no GSM coverage. The unit will save an undefined number of non-transmitted messages and re-transmit them at the next available point with good GSM (cell-phone) reception. AAT will not be held liable for any claims arising out of data that was lost. Data can be lost for a number of reasons that do not have anything to do with AAT. AAT will not be held responsible for third party services or equipment that fails to transmit or hold data. Customers are asked to decide upon a transmission interval that suits their individual needs, and monitor the site regularily to ensure everything is working to their satisfaction. The monthly payment amount also relies on the time interval of data transmitted. Therefore, the more frequent the data transmitted, the more expensive will be the monthly wireless costs. If a user wishes to alter their AXON units settings they may contact AAT to have it re-programmed or changed.

If the user wishes to hide the AXON Vehicle Interface in their vehicle then they may need additional assistance from AAT. If the Customer wishes the AXON unit become hard-wired to the vehicle, then AAT assumes no liability for any vehicle damage resulting from installation. If the AXON unit is hard-wired then we can also make an effort to make sure all the information and different functions are enabled and functioning properly in the vehicle if the customer so desires. If AAT provides installation we will need to see a customer ID and proof of vehicle ownership/lease contract, or a written consent from the vehicle owner/leasee.

If the customer wishes to install the AXON unit in a heavy truck a different connector will be needed. If a unit is purchased with the inappropriate connector then please contact AAT to exchange the connector.

The AXON unit may be installed and discreetly placed under the dashboard by the customer. Depending on the make of the vehicle and the location of the OBD2 connector it may be possible to hide the AXON Unit in the vehicle without it being hard-wired in a hidden location.

AAT does not provide any monitoring services yet of any kind. It is the user’s/customer’s sole responsibility to track their vehicle. Should monitoring services be requested please do not hesitate to contact AAT.

Monthly charges do apply. Yearly plans may be purchased ahead of time. Occasionally additional roaming fees and over-usage of data fees may be passed forward from the GSM network provider to the end customer.

AAT reserves the right to disconnect the customer at any time if payments are not met. Once payments are made the customer may be reconnected at any time.

IF GPS Information or any desired information is not displayed for a certain vehicle then the user may return the un-damaged unit within ten (10) days for full re-imbursement less shipping charges. The customer has ten (10) days to determine if the AXON is functioning correctly for their intended use. If the unit is returned after ten (10) days the customer will not be reimbursed for the cost of the AXON unit and unused SIM charges and will forfeit the prepaid monthly SIM card charges for the month(s) the AXON was held by the purchaser. The customer will also forfeit all shipping costs. If the AXON unit is returned after ten (10) days there will be no refund offered by AAT.

Discontinuation of Service

Upon the discontinuation of service or contract termination with AAT, AAT will no longer be obliged to service the AAT hardware within the installed vehicle. It is the responsibility of the customer to take their own precautions to properly uninstall the hardware or arrange for AAT or any other party to uninstall the hardware upon end of the AAT service agreement. AAT will not be held liable for any negligence on the part of the customer from the resulting potential damages the hardware may be suspected to cause after service with AAT has been discontinued.

If you wish to aid AAT in obtaining more information from your vehicle that is currently not available please do contact us.
